PROJECT OPTIONS
It is a tremendous blessing that we were able to record a professional quality CD each year. As you know, one of the major requirements for this class is to commit to marketing and selling 29 CDs to off-set the recording costs and to demonstrate to the administration that we are willing to do our part in order to be given this remarkable educational opportunity. Many of you have worked tirelessly to sell your CDs. Thank you! Your hard work is appreciated! As announced at the beginning of the year, a major portion of your 4th quarter grade will be based on the sales and marketing of the CD. I encourage you to continue your efforts using online strategies (social media, texts, emails, etc.) BUT if you are not comfortable reaching out to people in the current environment, I will allow you to return your CDs/money and complete another project to replace this major 4th quarter grade.
You will have three options to earn this 435 point grade:

OPTION #2
SIGHT SINGING
You may elect to complete a Sight-Singing Unit in the SmartMusic app, which is an app free to students being affected by COVID-19. If you are interested in this project, email me, and I will send you log-in information and passcode.
SMART MUSIC PROJECT
This Sight-Singing project has 10 possible units from which you may earn points.
Each unit is comprised of five to eight exercises found in the SmartMusic app, and each exercise may be practiced before recording your part.
Each exercise is worth an assigned point value, and you must earn a score of at least an 85% to receive the point value assigned. Exercises are automatically graded so you will be able to determine whether or not you received an 85% rate. If you do not achieve at least 85% accuracy on the first take, you may delete that take and try again too improve mastery of the exercise.
Exercises are designed to take approximately 5 minutes to complete if passed on the first attempt. Keep in mind that the more difficult units may require several attempts before achieving a score of 85%.
Any score less than 85% will not earn the point value assigned.
